01

What we found

What we found

Heavy limbs were resting on the roofline and rubbing the gutters. As a heritage tree it needed a City of Austin permit and careful, minimal cuts.

02

How we did it

How we did it

Two ISA-certified arborists climbed the tree on ropes, with no spikes. They reduced the end weight and lifted the canopy, timing every cut around oak-wilt season.

03

How we left it

How we left it

The canopy now clears the roof by six feet and was thinned about 15%. The permit paperwork and before-and-after photos went straight to the homeowner.

“They treated that oak like it was their own. You can barely tell it was pruned, but the roof finally gets some light.”
