A note from Jake

I started Arbor in 2008 with one truck, one chainsaw and a lot of borrowed rope. I’d spent six years climbing for bigger outfits and kept seeing the same thing: crews in a rush, yards left a mess, and homeowners talked into removals they didn’t need.

So we do it differently. I still walk most estimates myself, every climber is trained in-house, and we never hand a job to subcontractors. If we wouldn’t do it to our own tree, we won’t do it to yours.

How we work

Four rules we don’t bend.

They’re written on the inside of every truck door — and they’re why most of our work comes from neighbours.

Safety first

Every job starts with a site briefing and a written rigging plan. Hard hats on, drop zones roped off.

Our own crew

No subcontractors. The people who quote the job are the people who do it.

Cuts that heal

ISA-certified pruning to ANSI A300 standards — no topping, no spikes on living trees.

A clean yard, every time

We rake, blow and haul it all. The only sign we were there should be the tree.

Crew & equipment

The right kit for every tree.

We own and maintain our equipment, so we can be on site fast and never wait on a rental.

60-ft bucket truck

Reaches most canopies without climbing
